Hi There!

My name is Bri, and I am a pre-qualified psychologist. I was born and raised in Naples, Italy, where I lived until I turned 18, when I moved to London to pursue my studies in Criminology and Psychology.

Throughout my undergraduate degree, I worked as a waitress due to financial necessities, whilst gaining invaluable life experience from living and studying in a foreign country.

I graduated in 2020 (yep, not a great year to graduate!), and at the same time I was made redundant at my workplace due to the staff cuts made in the hospitality during the pandemic. Being passionate about psychology, I was determined to find jobs in healthcare. I secure a job as a Healthcare Assistant in Children and Adolescents Mental Health Services in November 2020. Six months later, I transitioned to a similar position in an adult forensic service.

In 2021, I started a Master in Clinical Forensic Psychology, which allowed me to complete a psychology placement. This opportunity eventually led to a permanent position as a pre-qualified psychologist in the NHS (the National Health System in the UK), and to a job in a private practice, both of which I still hold today.

Currently, I'm on an exciting path towards qualifying as a clinical psychologist, driven by a desire to make meaningful contributions to mental health and well-being, especially in the lives of stigmatised, or just less fortuned individuals. In my spare time, I tutor aspiring psychologists in Statistics and Research Methods for behavioural sciences.

I also just started a YouTube channel, where I talk about how we can use psychological principles to improve our lives.
